The team's bats are usually pretty cold in April. These things have a way of swinging back around, and I'm sure within a few months, everybody will be where they need to be. I'm not going to overreact to a mediocre road trip, although going 3-3 on the road to start the season isn't awful, as long as they win their home games. I'd have liked to have taken one of those two games they lost in Florida, but I'm not going to go crazy about them either. If they miss the playoffs by a game again, that's one thing (and at that point, I don't know how any Mets fans could remain fans of the game of baseball, quite frankly), but for now, it's disappointing, but not the end of the world.
