That’s right, I redesigned MiracleMets.net, and I think it looks damned handsome. Part of that is due to the snazzy new header you see at the top of the page, which is courtesy of my good friend The Mighty MJD (who has been pestering me to improve the look of my site for quite some time, and lived up to his end by giving me a nice header to go with the site). I will say that I miss the old pictures we used to have (and if anybody familiar with WordPress can help me figure out a way to reimplement those, it would be much appreciated) but I think the overall look of the site has improved tremendously.
I’m liking the move to WordPress, for a few reasons: For one, Blogger tended to be quite buggy; sometimes, I’d write an article, and it would take entirely too long to get it up for posting. I also like the searchable database that WordPress provides, as well as the ability to put posts in categories. Sure, I now have to go back and put 400+ posts into categories now, but it’s nice to have the option. I’ve started work on that, and it should be done by the end of the week.
Overall, I’m real happy with the move to WordPress, and I think it will lead to good things for MiracleMets. I will note to everybody that you will have to register in order to leave comments now. It’s the WordPress way, and it’s a pain in the ass to start with, but once you create the password, you’re set from that point on. It will help cut back on people posting anonymously as well, which I think is for the better. Once you leave your first comment, after I approve it, you should be good to go for posting from here on out.
So welcome to the new MiracleMets.net, and I hope you enjoy the new look we are sporting here!
